Mixmoor is a free online colour-mixing harbour puzzle for kids and families: tap glowing boats to sail them out of a busy harbour, ferry the matching glimmers home, and moor two colours together to mix a new one. Each boat sails the way its prow points, but only when nothing is in its way. Little glow-creatures called glimmers wait on the pier, and the ones at the front hop onto a boat of their colour; a boat with no match waits in one of a few moorings. Two moored boats can mix like paint (pink and gold make orange, gold and cyan make green, pink and cyan make purple), which frees a mooring and makes the colour the line is waiting for. Every colour also has its own shape symbol (โ โฒ โ ), so colour is never the only cue. Harbours are generated fresh and keep getting harder with no final level: bigger harbours, fewer moorings, sleepy boats that wait until a few others have sailed, frosted boats that thaw when a neighbour leaves, and from Harbour 30 a โ star boat made by mixing a mixed boat with the starter colour it's missing. Pick Breezy (undo as much as you like), Standard (earn an undo shell each harbour) or Captain (no undo, bigger score). There's no timer, no lives and no boosters. Your progress saves after every move so you can Continue later, ๐ Today's harbour gives everyone the same daily puzzle to replay as often as you like, and your best run goes on the leaderboard. It plays in your browser on any phone, tablet or computer with no download.

How to play Mixmoor
- Pick a mode: Breezy (undo as much as you like), Standard (earn one undo shell ๐ each harbour) or Captain (no undo, bigger score). Or play ๐ Today's harbour, the same daily puzzle for everyone.
- Tap a boat to sail it along its prow โ it only goes if the way is clear. Tapping a blocked boat just wobbles it, no harm done.
- Glimmers at the front of the pier hop onto a boat of their colour; a boat with no match waits in one of a few moorings, and its glimmers hop on by themselves when their colour reaches the front.
- Tap two moored boats to mix them like paint (pink + gold = orange, gold + cyan = green, pink + cyan = purple). Mixing frees a mooring. From Harbour 30, a mixed boat plus the starter colour it's missing makes a โ star boat.
- Clear the harbour before the moorings fill up. Harbours are generated fresh and levels never run out. On a keyboard, โ โ โ โ move the cursor, Enter or Space sails or picks, number keys pick a mooring, and Backspace undoes.
๐ก How it helps you
Mixmoor is a free online puzzle game where you tap glowing boats to sail them out of a busy night harbour in the right order, ferrying little glow-creatures called glimmers home before the waiting moorings fill up. A boat can only leave when nothing blocks its way, and only a few can wait at once, so every tap is a small planning puzzle. You look down the line, picture what happens next, and choose which boat to send and which to moor. That makes it gentle practice for thinking ahead, putting steps in order and holding a plan in mind. Moored boats can also mix, paint-box style: pink and gold make orange, gold and cyan make green, and pink and cyan make purple, a hands-on, playful way to explore how colours combine. Every colour also carries its own shape symbol, so you can read the harbour by shape as well as by colour. There's no timer, a blocked tap costs nothing, and Breezy mode lets you undo as much as you like. Harbours keep coming and slowly get trickier, so a younger child and an older sibling can each find a fair challenge, and the game saves after every move, so a harbour or two makes a tidy break you can pick up later. It's a game, not a lesson, but it's a satisfying workout for looking before you leap.
Good for: planning ahead, sequencing & paint-style colour mixing.
