Play Spectra Online
👨👩👧👦 Family-friendly · ages 6+
Spectra is a fast, glowing colour-catch arcade. Glowing orbs of different colours drift down a neon canvas; you slide a catcher along the bottom to grab the ones that match the CURRENT target colour — its name and shape always shown on the catcher, so colour is never the only cue. Catch the right colour to score and grow a combo that compounds; catch the wrong one and your combo resets (no penalty). Let a target orb slip past and you lose a life — three lives and it's over. The target colour switches every few catches, and every dozen catches the level climbs: orbs fall faster, spawn thicker, and the palette grows from three colours up to six and beyond. It never stops getting harder, and it's free, family-safe and plays on any phone.

How to play Spectra
- Move the catcher with the left/right arrow keys or A and D — or just drag your finger or mouse across the screen and it follows.
- You don't tap to catch: any orb that matches the target colour and touches the catcher is caught automatically.
- Catch the colour named on the catcher to score and build a combo; catching the wrong colour just resets the combo.
- Don't let a target-colour orb fall off the bottom uncaught — that costs one of your three lives (wrong colours falling past are harmless).
- Each colour has its own shape and name, so you can always tell them apart; survive as the speed, density and palette keep climbing, and post your best to the leaderboard.
💡 How it helps you
Spectra is a glittering test of paying attention to the right thing at the right moment. With a stream of neon orbs raining down and only one colour worth catching, your eyes learn to lock onto the target and let the rest fall away — a gentle, playful workout for selective attention and the kind of focus that helps with spotting your name in a crowd or finding the one thing you need on a busy shelf. The real spark is when the target colour switches: you have to drop the orbs you were just chasing and re-aim for the new one, which stretches your mental flexibility — the brain's ability to change plans on the fly without freezing. Add quick hand-eye tracking, the patience to skip wrong-colour orbs instead of grabbing everything, and combos that reward a calm, steady streak, and you've got a bright, fast, family-safe game that quietly sharpens focus and adaptability while you're just having fun.
Good for: focus, quick reactions & switching gears under pressure.
